Tech Teaching

Math and Literacy links will be updated according to lessons for the month. Current topics and links are listed below:

Math:

During the next couple of weeks we will be working on estimation. This will help prepare us for addition and subtraction.

Some sites that might be helpful:

http://www.pbs.org/parents/cyberchase/lessons/index.html "CyberChase" Interactive Math games demonstrate that math is a part of everyday life.

I also recall watching a cute show Sid the Science Kid that usually comes on PBS. They had an episode on estimation. I couldn't find it on the PBS site, but I found a clip on YouTube. If you get a chance, you may want to watch it:

Literacy:

We have lots to work on. Please refer to the syllabus provided at the beginning of the school year to see concepts addressed. If you are in need of another copy, please contact Ms. Caitlin or myself - we will be more than happy to provide you with another one.

We will be on the lookout for sites that reinforce: contractions, syllables and medial letter sounds. If you find any before us, please feel free to share the site with us so that we can add it to the webpage.
